With this launch, Bahari introduces a distinct vision: a new generation of fast cruising catamarans that deliver both performance and high-end luxury — all underpinned by smart technology and practical experience at sea.

A Name Carved from the Sea

The name Bahari is drawn from Swahili, meaning ocean or sea. It reflects centuries of maritime culture along the East African coast — a crossroads of trade, language and exploration. In choosing that name, Bahari Yachts anchors itself in heritage, while promising vessels that will traverse seas around the world.

The Bahari 525: A Yacht for Modern Cruising

The Bahari 525 is a fast cruising blue water catamaran, designed for sailors who refuse to choose between speed and comfort. She is not a stripped-out racer, nor a ponderous cruiser; she is engineered to deliver thrilling passages and gracious living in equal measure.

Each Bahari 525 is semi-custom. You choose between a three-cabin layout — with a dedicated owner’s hull and guest accommodations — or a four-cabin mirrored layout. You decide whether you want a flybridge version for extra outdoor living or a more streamlined no-flybridge option for a sleeker silhouette and performance focus.

Inside, the layout prioritises flow and ergonomics, so that movement from saloon to cockpit, galley to helm, is intuitive and natural. The forward trampoline area converts into a living lounge, with full-size custom mattresses and a dedicated awning for shade or night-time stargazing. Every finish, every joinery detail, every line has been refined — bringing together sophistication and structural robustness.

Technology Meets Tradition: Sailing Smarter

Bahari 525 is not merely about sailing under wind and hull — she is also a platform for smart yacht innovation. Telematics systems knit together navigation, energy, systems monitoring, and safety alerts. Rig loads are monitored continuously; sails and furlers respond to wind conditions intelligently; energy inputs from solar, battery and shore power are tracked in real time.

Built in Cape Town by Phoenix Marine

Bahari Yachts is constructed by Phoenix Marine Manufacturing, based in Cape Town — a world centre for catamaran craftsmanship. The design team, led from their in-house Studio 34 South, not only has deep expertise in composites and naval architecture but also cumulative experience sailing thousands of miles across oceans and charter routes worldwide.
